Kingdom Hearts III is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Square-Enix and published by Disney Interactive Studios for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
.It will be the first Kingdom Hearts game to be featured on a Microsoft platform, having previously only released on Sony and Nintendo platforms. It is the eighth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series. During E3 2013, after years of rumors and speculation, the game was confirmed to be in development.
Sora will once again be the protagonist of the game. The game will also see the return of Riku, Donald Duck, Goofy, and King Mickey,
as well as the inclusion of familiar Disney characters. Sora, Donald
and Goofy will attempt to search for seven guardians of light and the
"Key to Return Hearts," while King Mickey and Riku search for previous
Keyblade wielders, in an attempt to stop Master Xehanort's plan to balance the light and darkness. The game will feature new and familiar worlds based on Disney properties.
On June 10, 2013, Kingdom Hearts III was announced with a teaser at Sony's E3 event, to release on the PlayStation 4. In a conference the day after, Square Enix confirmed that the game would also be released on the Xbox One.
Sunnyvale based AMD has unveiled a new line of processors that is based on those that powered the PS4 and Xbox One.
Here are the silicon's three categories with its features.
1. 2013 AMD Elite Mobility APU (former codename: Temash)
- 28 nanometer
- quad-core x86 SoC
- meant for small touch-enabled notebooks, tablets, and hybrids with 13-inch displays or smaller
- Comes in dual-core (A4) and quad-core (A6) configurations
- Features the "Jaguar" x86 CPU cores (Xbox One and PS4 uses this "Jaguar" architecture)
- Packs with Graphics Core Next AMD Radeon HD 8000 Series GPU
- Full Windows 8 support
- Full 1080p support
- Support for Windows 8.1
- 172% more CPU performance per watt than its predecessor
- 212% better graphics performance per watt than its predecessor
- 12 hours of "resting life" (this is regarding of the battery life. "Resting life" is some term given by AMD)
- 45% longer battery life and 5 times more GPU performance than Intel Atom Z2760 1.5Ghz CPU
2. 2013 AMD Mainstream APU (former codename: Kabini)
- Described as the "best-in-class graphics and first-in-class x86 quad-core SoC"
- Claimed to deliver "the ideal balance between function and affordability for entry-level and small-form factor touch notebooks"
- Comes with either dual "Jaguar" core (E1 and E2 models) or quad Jaguar core (A4 and A6 models) configurations
- Graphics Core Next AMD Radeon 8000 Series GPU
- 132% better visual performance per watt than its predecessor
- 127% better productivity performance per watt than its predecessor
- 25% better power efficiency than its predecessor
- 11 hours of idle run time
- 88% better graphics performance, 33% better gaming performance, 29% faster file compression than Core i3-2370M with Intel HD Graphics
3. 2013 AMD Elite Performance APU (former codename: Richland)
- Based on "Piledriver" architecture
- High-end in the A-series lineup
- Comes in A8 and A10 variants
- 12% better productivity performance than its predecessor
- 20% - 40% better visual performance than its predecessor
- 51% more power efficiency in HD video playback than its predecessor
- 13 hours of resting battery life
- Offers between 39% to 72% better gaming performance than Intel Core i5-3210M with Intel HD 4000 Graphics
"Mobile APU user experiences", which consists of gesture control, facial login, and "Start Now" technology, were debuted too.
