Mozilla And Epic Partner To Bring Unreal Engine 3 To The Web
Unknown | 12:08 AM |
Mozilla, the non-profit organization behind Firefox, announced a partnership with Epic Games to bring Unreal Engine 3 to web browsers.
Porting a modern graphics engine such as Unreal Engine 3 to the web was made possible thanks to Mozilla’s newly developed highly-optimized version of Javascript.
Using this Unreal Engine 3 web port, developers can make their UE3 games playable in all web browsers that support Web-GL with minimal effort.
Mozilla is also working with premium game publishers such as Disney, EA and ZeptoLab who are using the same technology to bring performance optimizations to their top-rated mobile and web games.
